Introduction/Bio:
Poorvaprabha Patil, a doctor-in-the-making, is studying medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. She is the UN MGCY SDG3 Regional Focal Point (South Asia Region), the elected Vice President of the Medical Students’ Association of India, an organisation comprising of over 24,000 medical students in India, and an executive board member of YP-CDN (Young Professionals Chronic Disease Network). She has planned and led extensive country-wide projects and campaigns on SDG 3 and 13. In 2016, she also co-founded an NGO called ‘Lumina Vitae’ that works on access to healthcare in India and works with diverse communities and vulnerable groups
