Who we are...
Savini Samarasinghe is a PhD student at Colorado State University, studying electrical and computer engineering. Her research focuses on using machine learning for climate applications, with emphasis on understanding cause-effect relationships between climate variables. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (hons) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
Sudarsha De Silva
Sudarsha De Silva well known science and environment reporter from Sri Lanka. He was recognized as the best environment reporter in Sri Lanka by the Ministry of Environment 2009. He is the head and Chief Editor of Earthlanka News Network the only online media in Sri Lanka for science and environment reporting. Sudarsha De Silva is also known for its Social activism since 2009 as he initiated the platform for young people in Sri Lanka Earthlanka Youth Network for youth led coastal and marine conservation activates. He held many positions in many international summits related to climate change, coastal and marine bio diversity and media. He was in the editorial committee to present the National youth report Sri Lanka for RIO+20 with UNDP and Voluntary Peoples Review for SDGs in United Nations New York, USA during 2018. He was the co author to publish the SDG 14 report “Life Below Water report from Sri Lanka” for voluntary peoples review and was presented in the High Level Political Forum as Sri Lanka selected to present the Voluntary National Review on SDG’s during 2018. He is also reading his postgraduate on Development Practitioners in University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka.
